MCG Conducts Formative Research with 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds for Nickelodeon’s Bubble Guppies
Led by LaToye Adams (MCG Research Director and Nickelodeon alum), MCG conducted formative research with children to inform the development of the educational segments of Season 3 & 4 of Nickelodeon’s Bubble Guppies. Using multiple stages of testing for each episode, the research helped producers identify concepts that resonated with children and develop educational content that was clear, engaging and age-appropriate. MCG also provided curriculum consulting and script review for Season 4.
The Emmy-winning preschool show Bubble Guppies uses music and a discovery-based educational approach (Reggio Emilia) to engage students and model the active process of active learning. Bubble Guppies continues to air.
